Therapy celebrating and supporting the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals/partners/friends/families
We specialize in providing affirming counseling for individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, trans-sexual, intersexed, gender-queer, or questioning.
GLBTQ Therapy If you already feel strongly connected to your sexual or gender identity, it is important to feel that your counselor understands and supports your life and family. If you are in the process of exploring your gender or sexual identity, it is vital to feel that your therapist is someone who can encourage and support your process of exploration in a nonjudgmental, affirming manner.
Transgender Adults (age 18+)If you are in the process of a gender transition, we offer therapy to support you in your journey toward physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wholeness. We provide letters and referrals for hormones and surgery when appropriate, as well as information on other trans-friendly services that might be helpful to you in your process of transition.
Transgender Children & Adolescents (age 2-17)Many children know what their true gender is (even when it does not match their physical body) as early as age two or three. If you think your child may be transgendered we can provide therapy and psychoeducational materials to support you and your child in understanding where they are in their gender identity development. We provide individual therapy, gender identity assessment, and family therapy for transgendered youth.
Families of Transgender PeopleLoving someone who is transgendered can present a unique set of challenges and changes in your own life. Having a safe place to talk about the ways you are impacted by a loved one's gender change is important. We provide individual and family therapy for the spouses, partners, children, and families of people in gender transition.
